Opera: Wagner's Ring Cycle

This course, co-sponsored by the Piedmont Opera and Salem’s Courses for Community, will examine in depth the four opera masterpieces in Richard Wagner’s Ring cycle, both in the context of Wagner’s earlier works and of 19th century opera in general. Suitable for both opera novices and experienced opera-goers; concludes with a viewing of the Ring cycle on DVD. No class March 8 and March 29.

Cost: $75 for course/$140 for two people
