Call for Artists: 53nd Annual Dimensions 2017 National Juried Fine Art Competition and Exhibition

Associated Artists of Winston-Salem presents the 53nd Annual Dimensions 2017 National Juried Fine Art Competition and Exhibition, Sponsored by Kilpatrick Townsend.

May 25 – July 25 at the Womble Carlyle Gallery inside the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts, 251 North Spruce Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101. Entry Deadline: April 30. Completed entries (including payment of fees) must be received by AAWS staff. Late entries will not be accepted.

CALL FOR ENTRIES: Dimensions is a national juried art exhibition, established by AAWS in 1964 to showcase outstanding visual art in two and three-dimensional fine art media. This year’s exhibition will be held inside the Womble Carlyle Gallery at the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts in Downtown Winston-Salem, NC, the City of Arts and Innovation.

AWARDS 1st place – $1,000, 2nd Place – $500, 3rd Place – $250, Honorable Mentions – $50

About the Juror: Hanna Jubran, currently is a Sculpture Professor at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. He received his M.F.A. in Sculpture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, May 1983. Hanna’s work addresses the concepts of time, movement, balance and space. Each sculpture occupies and creates its own reality influenced by its immediate surroundings. Hanna has been commissioned to create work for a large variety of private and corporate collections. Hanna regularly participates in International art shows, competitions and symposiums.  Some of his most recent activities include: The creation of “A Monument to a Century of Flight” in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina and The International Woodcarving Symposium, St. Blasien, Germany. In addition to participating in international exhibitions he has extensively shown his artwork throughout the United States.
