75th Anniversary
Arts Council of Winston-Salem & Forsyth County
Celebrating 75 Years of Supporting the Arts
August 9, 2024 marks Arts Council of Winston-Salem & Forsyth County's 75th Anniversary. Established with $7,200 of seed money from the Junior League of Winston-Salem, Arts Council has been a pioneering force in uplifting, creating awareness, and providing support to grow and sustain artistic, cultural, and creative offerings throughout the region. This momentous anniversary will include a year-long celebration of events and initiatives designed to engage our community, honor our rich legacy, and inspire future support for the arts. Join us for a year-long celebration!
Remember Carolina Street Scene?
For 20 years, this amazing music and art festival brought legendary musicians, artists and vendors to downtown Winston-Salem to showcase their creativity. Thousands packed the streets every year to witness the talent and experience the sights and sounds.

In partnership with our friends at Camel City Goods, we're debuting a Carolina Street Scene tee inspired by one of the original event posters.
As the first locally-organized arts council in the country, our tireless efforts to promote artistry and culture were well-represented in the creation and management of this historic event.
A portion of proceeds from your purchase will benefit Arts Council in celebration of 75 years of great work in the community!
