Renaissance Society / 1949 Society

The Renaissance Society was created to recognize the exceptional generosity of our donors and to deepen their engagement with the diverse cultural opportunities their generosity supports. In 2011, The Arts Council introduced a new division of The Renaissance Society called The 1949 Society, which pays homage to the year in which The Arts Council was formed and the beginning of the arts council movement across the nation. As a member, you join hundreds of individuals throughout our community in support and celebration of the arts.  For more information on joining the Renaissance or 1949 Societies, please contact Devon MacKAY at (336) 747-1417 or email her at
