The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County Seeks Manager of Institutional Giving

The Arts Council of Winston-Salem & Forsyth County is looking for either a part-time or full-time Manager of Institutional Giving.  This position will play an integral role on The Arts Council’s development team and in the success of The Arts Council’s annual campaign for the Community Fund for the Arts. They will primarily focus on the implementation of strategy around institutional fundraising through both workplace campaigns and corporate, municipal, and foundation giving. As a member of a small team, they will also be called on frequently to assist with fundraising in other parts of the annual campaign, including individual giving, stewardship, and other duties as required.

Reports directly to Chief Development Officer.

  • Plan and implement strategy for dozens of workplace fundraising campaigns, including:
    • building a team of volunteer solicitors,
    • planning and executing a campaign kick-off and engagement events,
    • establishing the right incentives,
    • coordinating communication of case for support and ask throughout workplace, and
    • making successful presentations of mission and case for support to employees
  • Plan and implement strategy for institutional giving initiatives, including:
    • identifying prospects
    • writing grants and fulfilling grant reporting for corporate, foundation, and municipal partners
    • securing meetings for lead development staff and President/CEO with key decision-makers
    • creating proposals for solicitation calls
    • executing the details of partnership, including sponsorship of events, marketing impressions, employee engagement, etc.

The ideal candidate has fundraising experience. They would be excellent communicators, both verbally and in writing, and a proficient public speaker. Event planning, organization, a strong sincere love and familiarity with the arts, and a familiarity with the community of Forsyth County, would be beneficial.

Salary commensurate with experience. Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered.
