SAWTOOTH SPOTLIGHT


Applications for our 2024 Sawtooth Spotlight: Holiday Market + Juried Exhibition are now open! Last year’s juried exhibition, featuring 90 works by 56 artists, was a massive celebration of our artistic community. Our one-day Holiday Market was a resounding success, with over 800 guests and 54 vendors generating a significant economic impact. This year promises to be even better! Juried Exhibition: Saturday, November 23, 2024, through Saturday, February 1, 2025. Holiday Market: Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 11 am – 4 pm, with a donor preview from 10 am – 11 am. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, September 2. A $5 application fee applies. You can apply for the Juried Exhibition, Holiday Market, or both on our website, link below!

Color Theory and Mixing Class. When working with color, a new world of visual sensation opens up, Color is an extraordinarily rich tool for artists. Workshop Date: August 8th, Mary Alice Warren Community Center.

CALL FOR ART: Music, like art, is a central part of our lives. Let the music flow through you and into your artwork! Photography of an instrument, collate including sheet music, painting of a violin, painting inspired by a favorite song or artist, or whatever musical piece you can create. ARTS COUNCIL of WINSTON-SALEM & FORSYTH COUNTY ARTIST SUPPORT GRANTS


DEADLINE: September 26th About the Program: Artist Support Grants (formerly Regional Artist Project Grants) is a regional gratn program that provides direct support to individual artists for professional and artistic development, either to enhance their skills and abilities to create work, or to improve their business operations and capacity to bring work to the audiences. This program will provide grants of $500 to $2000 to support committed, gifted individual artists and small, unincorporated groups of collaborating artists residing in Forsyth, Davidson, Davie, Guilford, and Randolph counties and is intended to support a broad range of talented artists in the genres of visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, music composition, choreography, and interdisciplinary arts. The program is operated with the Arts Council of Greater Greensboro, Arts Davidson County, Davie County Arts Council, High Point Arts Council, and The Randolph Arts Guild. Funding is provided by the North Carolina Arts Council, and division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.



SOUTH ARTS OPEN APPLICATIONS


Accessibility Grants Grants of up to $2,500 for organizations to make arts programs accessible to persons with disabilities. The deadline to apply is September 3, 2024.
