Parks Concert Series

Free Outdoor Concerts presented by Arts Council and the Forsyth County Government

Arts Council's Parks Concert Series, presented in partnership with the Forsyth County Government, provides family-friendly concerts featuring local and national musicians, food vendors, community partners, and interactive art activities in beautiful outdoor venues.

These concerts are free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs, and may bring a picnic or purchase food from vendors onsite. Wine, beer, and water will be available for purchase, with all proceeds supporting Arts Council. No outside alcohol is permitted. Dogs on leashes are welcome.

​

In the event of inclement weather, concerts will take place at the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts (251 N Spruce Street, Winston-Salem). Check Arts Council’s website and social media for day-of venue updates.​

Pups in the Park with
West End Mambo
at Triad Park

Sunday, October 20• 2:00-5:00pm

Featuring local Latin legends West End Mambo playing a fiery mix of classic salsa from bolero and rumbas to guaracha and son montuno. 

 

Bring your (on-leash) canine companions to enjoy the beautiful grassy fields of Triad Park at this special Pups in the Park concert!

The concert is free and open to the public. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and a picnic, or purchase food from vendors onsite.

Summer Dance Social
at Tanglewood Park

featuring Garba360

Sunday, September 8 • 2:00-5:00pm

Celebrate the end of summer with a community dance experience! A combination concert and large-scale community dance class, the Garba360 experience features live music and dance instructors.

 

Audiences are invited to participate in the ecstatic Indian folk-dance tradition of garba - an intoxicating, high-energy dance style marked by hand claps and twirls. Garba360 brings this lively celebration to new spaces for people of all backgrounds to celebrate through movement. All are invited to participate and dance (or just listen) to live music!

The Martha Bassett Show:
Live at Tanglewood Park

Sunday, June 16 • 2:00-5:00pm

Featuring a live taping of The Martha Bassett Show, a weekly music program that blends the fabric of the national roots and Americana scene with the rich artistry, history, and flair of North Carolina’s Piedmont region.

Musical guests include Sonny MilesThe Onyx Club Boys, and Dori Freeman. Check out food vendors Big Mouff Cheesesteaks and Sunset Slush, and family-friendly art activities.

Piedmont Wind Symphony
& The Queen Bees:
Live at Tanglewood Park

Sunday, May 12 • 2:00-5:00pm

Featuring Piedmont Wind Symphony, a beloved local symphonic wind band known for dynamic performances in creative settings, and The Queen Bees, a powerhouse trio of North Carolina-based artists who utilize a unique blend of traditional and modern instruments, vocal harmonies, and the folk tradition of storytelling.

Check out food vendors Wutyasay and Sunset Slush, and family-friendly art activities from MIXXER!
